All three of them are present, the father and the two sons, Denis, Cédric and Christopher to welcome visitors to the tasting room of the domaine. Friends meet up there in the evenings.  Denis’ brother Michel, recently retired, also joins them. Cédric doesn’t have to use his hunting horn to gather them. The get-together is on the schedule, and they all faithfully show up. The time is long gone when Denis, then a printer, would run the rotary presses, and after that work was done, would go out into the vines. Double trades - two experiences. He loved that. Until the day came when the printing shop closed, and indeed printed its own death announcement. Denis then became a full-time winemaker. Christopher traded his pencils for his pruning shears. His garden design plans sprang to life in his hands. And the landscape specialist became a player in the family business. Cédric did not change his path. He had already committed himself to growing wine. And he stuck to it. The business will have to expand. It is not always easy. And land is scarce. But they are determined. After all, Soumard, enfolded within Saint-Andelain, is their nest.
